Because language is so fluid and ever evolving, I’m not sure how well this formal communication would hold up in practice. And for nuerodiverse people, it’s very ableist to think of these things as immature.

As a boss and someone who works with young professionals around the world, I don’t care as long as a) you get your point across without confusion and b) you do good work. The rest is unimportant.

Plus, I love a well timed joke in a stressful situation. It’s usually what leads everyone to relax and problem solve together. Or come up with great ideas.
